Junior Economics major at University of Pacific Tyler sets the standards for a young racer who can balance his racing and more importantly his college studies so let's find out more about him: Tyler will be wheeling his Hot Bodies D8 in that event. A gathering of the best of the best to see who is king of the mountain for a couple years. He will be racing and traveling to Argentina in late 2012 for the World Championship's for Nitro Buggy. Tyler also made his first major A Main event in Nitro recently going up against 11 other pro driver's who get paid to do this hobby for a living. Tyler and Leo are a great example of a Father and Son team in this hobby. When competing in Nitro racing, you can always find Tyler's Dad (Leo) by his side and as his pit man. He takes on the approach of just going out there and getting the job done and if he has anything to say, he says it clearly on the track. He stays quiet and does not puff out his chest or ever brag about how good his car handles. His attitude and driving style reflect the same. Vik does at all, any class or any car he can perform it at a pro level. He had a break out race in 2010 in On Road at the Reedy Race were he turned people's heads by giving 3 time World Champion Marc Rheinard a run for his money. Tyler has already accomplished a lot for a racer who is only in his early 20's. He's at the age were he's very busy attending college, but still able to manage a serious race career in between classes and studying. I got a chance to interview one of Northern California's most respected racers.
